Getting Over it with Bennet Foddy.
Cool idea but glitchless just makes it kinda dumb and like creamsock said, very boring. Though I will say that a minimum jumps Any% is a decent idea since it is a slightly different run though still similar to any%. The definition of jumps would need to be in the rules and the category in general would onlybe a thing if there is a decent amount of interest
useless% is a paradox, it does and doesn't exist at the same time. The more you think about it the less it exists and the less it is thought of the less it becomes. Useless% isn't a category, it's an idea of how far people will go for miniscule things, things that will never matter. The question is if useless% is already here, maybe we haven't noticed it yet, maybe it has already been added, maybe it will never be added. It isn't up to us to decide.
this is another way to softlock fast, no idea which way is fastest
Id like to request to have super mod for https://www.speedrun.com/walking_simulator . Along with the fact the current moderator has not been online for 3 months, they only have the first act as the speedrun leaderboards and after being asked to put the 2nd and 3rd acts on the leaderboard, they replied with "nomegalul", showing they have no intention on adding the rest of the game and generally taking care of the leaderboards.
To show that there is no reason that the other acts shouldnt be added I have done a speedrun of the 2nd act.
The glitches in this game save a small amount of time compared to the rest of the run so adding a glitchless category wouldn't change much at all length-wise
which means it got verified or rejected, and since you dont have any runs on your profile that means it got rejected
Yo, had a pending run for these boards for over a month now and both moderators have not logged onto the site for 10 months as well as 2 years inactive yt and twitch channels. 2 weeks ago I sent a discord f req to one of the mods which has still not been accepted nor denied. Supermod seems best since both are inactive but mod would suffice if needed.
The separation of versions is a good idea but due to the fact we can't currently access the older versions through conventual means it would just be a still leaderboard. What I will attempt to do to make the suggested leaderboard change possible is to contact the dev to have a way to access the older versions like other games on steam can do. Until then nothing will be changed/is needed to be changed since almost no one runs this game, but if somehow the game suddenly gets popular I will make immediate change to fit.
@ShadowDraft sorry but i completely forgot about this and thought the site would give me a notif for being @'d in a forum post. their linked discord doesnt exist and this may be just be and if im told to i will do it as a last option but im personally not a fan of going into someones youtube comments and asking them about this type of thing
From a quick count the wr is 30 blocks away and they were walking straight forward the whole time so that already says that 32 blocks in 4 seconds is not a correct measurement. From tests that I did mc classic walking is basically if not the same as running in the later versions. From what I can tell from tests jumping while running saves very little to no time, same with falling/going downhill. Assuming that the minimum amount of blocks you can spawn from the border is 30 (including the one youre standing on) and also assuming that the mc classic running is the same as the minecraft running speed (being 5.612 b/ps) combined with that you spawn in the middle of the block making it be 29.5 blocks inbetween you and the border, you get the minimum time of 5.257 seconds. But this could go further down due to the fact that fps length can change the exact timing of something, but 5.257 seconds is an answer mathematically.
(also your run was 5.9 not 5.0 seconds)
