loading a save to retry a trick isn't save/load abuse, its simply retrying a trick. save/load abuse is using save/loads to perform a trick that would otherwise be impossible without them.
Some of the movement commands were changed in Revolution so that's why the game feels different to play. Specifically:
sv_air_max_wishspeed 60
(default is 100, in Portal 2 it's hardcoded to be 60)
sv_airaccelerate 5
(default is 12, in Portal 2 it's using sv_paintairacceleration
instead, which is 5)
sv_jump_speed 232.379
(default is 220, in Portal 2 it's calculated as sqrt(sv_gravity * 2 * 45)
)
sv_speed_normal 175
(default is 150, in Portal 2 it's 175. you need to reload a level for this to apply)
Currently the WR for SLA No CFG is a 58:00 by False. You can check the queue at https://randomidiot13.github.io/queueclient-web/ or join the Discord to see PB's https://discord.gg/p2sr
No, the normal Portal 2 autospliiter works by communicating with the plugin SAR, which can't be loaded in Revolution, so for now runs are timed real time before a version of SAR (or an alternative) is created.

Yeah, no there won't be a glitchless category. Most portal 2 mods aren't very glitch heavy, it just takes the time to remember the routes for each chamber, but overall not difficult. Also, "Glitchless" as a name is incredibly hard to define, which tricks or mechanics count as "glitches" compared to "exploits" or "bugs", whatever. Portal 2 (base game) has a No Major Glitches category, but that has very little activity.
Also current high level runs are more around 1 hour (I think the current non-official WR is a 1h03m time), so two hours definitely won't be the length of the run as long as you're willing to put in the time and effort to learn the routes.
That would not be a speedrunning category just because of sometimes the pure luck and difficulty of some tricks. If anything there'll be a miscellaneous category for X amount of portals (See base Portal 2's 100 Portals SP or 69 Portals Co-op).
I got some beef with the World of Goo mods allowing 4 Portal 2 speedruns on their leaderboards
Those are transition boxes, they're in (most) maps and are what allows the game logic to transition maps to work properly. They're already incorporated into multiple categories (Any% (SLA), Portal Placement Never Fail) and usually abusing them is called B.O.o.B.
Another update, the SR.C page link is now @artificial!
