Or they could also put in the rules a single emulator with the exact configuration so that everyone uses the same configuration, but it has to be an accessible emulator for everyone, Most people will surely play on emulator, those who play on console if they prefer could play on emulator, at least for me that is the fairest without having to add IGT times :)

It doesn't seem like a good idea to me, they are just going to urge people to do a lot of smurfing and the competitive would be even worse. Imagine that everyone was trying that, it would be chaos and maybe no one would reach global, or it would take too long

It's just a suggestion but I thought maybe it could be useful, the any% category is not very played and is quite extensive, while Derby (Wreckless) has many more players, honestly this motivated me to try the speedrun of this game xD, maybe the same could happen with new players

You must download "Speedrun cfg file" from here: https://www.speedrun.com/csgo/resources

Paste the file here: X:\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\cfg

Remember to have the console binded and remember to activate net_graph 1, when you finish your run open the console and type "exec speedrun" there many commands will be verified to see that your run is legit (This is done to avoid different types of cheating, or so I think)
