This is the exact reason why you have a post-launch embargo! So it means those who didn't have early access have time to learn the game, strats, and routing. It helps to level the playing field ahead of submissions.

Saying that "nobody is making somebody speed run a game" is missing the point entirely.

You submitted the run 3 days ago. As per the submission page:

"Run approval may take 1-3 weeks in some cases."

Please have patience. We all moderate multiple boards and have lives (jobs, families, hobbies of our own etc.) aside from speedrunning.

Your run will be reviewed and verified in due course.

Hey! While mods like Hard Mode are a great challenge for players and speedrunners alike, it won't be added to this board as this is for base categories included in the game.

While it could be considered for the CatEx board, the liklihood is that it won't be added. Firstly, there needs to be clear demand from multiple people for a board/category to be added (with completed runs etc.), and while challenge runs are very entertaining, they don't always make the best speedruns.

Thank you for the suggestion, but as of right now, this won't be added here. However, you could always look to create a Google sheets document with times and links to videos for those that have completed it as a speedrun if you wanted to!

Also I'd guess a possible auto-clicker and auto-aimer given the mouse literally moved to Livesplit off the game in a single frame and kept clicking to open the menu continuously despite you closing it over and over.

You also continuosly move the mouse in circles, I'm guessing to stop the cursor being thrown to different bits of the game window or livesplit without you wanting it to be.

Somehow guessing this won't be valid...

As per the game rules:

Any modification of game files is banned. This includes custom cat textures, and mods loaded at runtime such as a trainer.

I just want to give some appreciation to the mod team for Stray. With the verification embargo being lifted tomorrow, as a fellow mod for other games I know they're going to have ALOT of runs to verify in a short time period.

Impressive times! If you have the old video, it's submittable, but everything else without a video is unverifiable.

As for the separate boards, that'll be down to the mods.

Seeing as Jaypin mentioned me in his video, I thought it apt to clarify exactly what we spoke about. Here is the full message log from our Discord DMs. This is LITERALLY all that was said by me.

Not sure why he felt it necessary to namedrop me as though I'd done something wrong. Though from what I can see, what he said in the video was factual as far as contacting me and me telling him I didn't know what was going on but would ask.

My involvement from here only goes as far as to enact a series-wide ban and run removal from any series I moderate, which meant rejecting all submissions from the Sonic 3 AIR boards (including CatEX and DA Garden) and Sonic 1 (2013).

It's not considered a glitch. However my advice would be, on killing him, to move to the right completely so there is no chance of clipping into the ground. The signpost falls off screen but generally this is considered allowed for glitchless
