A-9-G(66)-4

Nestopia UE 1.52.0

So here's the saga of the past 24 hours... Since I got my new Keychron K5 Pro keyboard yesterday, I decided to try out DFA in turnaround room. I got surprisingly consistent in a short period of time, so I decided to do 8-4 IL runs for a bit just for fun. Last night I ended up getting 8-2 pace to last room but I lost a frame on axe (A-A-D(70)-2 minus 1), then a few minutes later I had the same pace but got a perfect axe grab (A-B-D(71)-2). (1 frame pb each time.) I then followed that up shortly with another 1 frame pb, this time with frame 67! I wasn't expecting that, but I ended up losing 2 frames to stupid in water (I blame the loud and chaotic Radiohead song I was listening to), and finished with a fairly disappointing 8-3 (A-A-G(67)-3).

That brings us to today, when I started practicing DFA in preparation for runs. I intended to go for a faster walljump and slower turnaround than my previous pb, as I didn't think I'd be able to match frame 67 in a pb anytime soon, plus I knew I had 2 frames to save in water. I did runs for about an hour but they went absolutely nowhere, and I was starting to get frustrated as my DFA consistency was starting to go down from bad habits building up. I took a break for a while and came back. Soon after, I got multiple runs past walljump on great paces, but I kept choking DFA. I forced myself to relax, and soon after got a run with a bad walljump accel (A to 9). I went into turnaround hoping for a low pressure DFA attempt since the run was dead anyway.

Hilariously, everything clicked and I got frame 66. I had done the complete opposite of my intention (8-B walljump and frame 68) and instead gotten 9 to 66. In water I ended up losing a frame to midbar because of nerves. Oh well. Guess I'm only allowed to pb by 1 frame these days lol.

11x Categories - New Timing Method

Hey Folks!

Just wanted to announce a new change to timing methods for both 11x categories. The new timing standards are as follows:

  • Timing starts from power-on/reset (or game select if you're using one of the combo cartridges).
  • Timing ends on grabbing the axe on the 11th run.
  • Time betw
